In December 2007, Tshidi assumed the leadership of Inca Concrete Products as Executive Chairman. Prior to his move to Inca, Tshidi was the Executive Director of Brandhouse for over 7 years and brings to Inca not only his wealth of experience but his dynamic entrepreneurial and management skills.
In 1997, Tshidi was appointed by President Mandela as a regulator for the telecommunications industry. He has been instrumental as a committee member in formulating the policies and laws that govern the anti-money laundering and telecommunications sectors in South Africa.
Tshidi obtained his LLB from UCT and was admitted as an attorney to the Cape Division of the High Court of South Africa. His legal background has stood him in high stead and has made him a sound advisor and convener where he has taken up such roles as legal advisor to the Reserve Bank and Head of the Mitchells Plain electoral district in the 1994 elections. Over and above this he has been a member of the Wine and Spirit Board and the Head of the Information Centre during the Telkom strategic Partner acquisition. Besides his LLB degree he holds a BSC (Agric) Honors from the University of Fort Hare.

Gerhard started his career at Brick and Clay in 1973 and was later head hunted by Calsica where he took up the position of shift supervisor.
At the insistence of Jeff Cloete the then Factory Manager of Calsica he completed his matric and later went on to obtain a business diploma by correspondence with UNISA. Gerhard claims he received the best education from the training workshops held by Murray & Roberts where learnt how to understand and motivate people. He later held the position of Production Manager under the company MD
In 1994 Calsica was sold by Murray & Roberts, to one of their subsidiaries - READYMIX Products. Gerhard took over as Production Manager of the company and reported directly to the READYMIX Board. This company is now INCA CONCRETE PRODUCTS.
Gerhard always had a desire to own his own business, so in March 1998 he successfully negotiated with READYMIX to purchase INCA via a consortium of Bert Kappers, Pieter Visser and Hubert Norman. The first 3 years of the consortium B named INCA WESTERN CAPE B were very difficult times as there was considerable economic uncertainty with the changing government. Over and above this, the interest rates rose to 25% and the competition in the industry was tough. However common sense and perseverance prevailed and the development of new product ranges coupled with the improvements in the construction industry, the business began to prosper. The company now runs on an even keel and has a major share of the market in paving and concrete block in the Western Cape.

Zingili joined the INCA Concrete Products board as a non executive director at the end of 2007. He is currently a teaching professor at the Business School of the University of the Free State and also holds the post of the Secretary to National Parliament.
Zingili is a valuable member of this new team and brings to Inca his years of provincial financial management, policy formulation, corporate governance and change management experience. He was also the former MEC for Finance and Trade & Industry in the Free State and holds an MBA degree specialising in entrepreneurship development.

Bennie, the financial director of INCA Concrete Products, is the youngest member of the board. After matriculating at DF Malan High School in 1987 he went on to obtain his National Diploma in Cost & Management Accounting at the Cape Technikon in 1990.
Bennie started his working career at a construction & civil's company- where he held the position of Cost & Management Accountant for 3 years. He then joined a transport company as the financial manager and later a refrigerated trucking company where he was not only the financial manager, but also a member and shareholder of the company.
Bennie then joined INCA Western Cape in the April of 1998 - one month after the company was formed and later became a Director in 2003. He not only manages the financial department of Inca Concrete Products but finds time to be ardently involved in the running of the companies vast Social Responsibility portfolio.

Deon's vast experience in the paving field started in 1982 whilst still at school when he designed and made his first mould for pavers. After his national service he joined Advance Paving and in 2000. Prior to joining False Bay Bricks (Cape) in 2000 as Paving Sales Manager he was with Prime paving a division of the Basil Starke Group. False Bay Bricks as we know it is now INCA Concrete Products.
Deon's passion for paving is immense and he follows the worldwide trends very carefully, ensuring that he and the company keep in line with changing technology.
Some of Deon's achievements and successes to date range from the first Exposed Aggregate Pavers, that he made for Kirstenbosch Gardens. The extra heavy duty pavers that he was commissioned to produce at Saldanha Steel are to date still the worlds heaviest loading pavers.
Deon was also part of the team that developed the traditional paver in 2002, to compete with the clay paving market. The first installation was at Long Beach Mall in Fish Hoek and the success of this project which was an Inca, Planning Partnership and Martin & East installation speaks for itself.
Through Deon's vast travels overseas he has made numerous important friends and contacts in the industry. One subsequent meeting has landed INCA CONCRETE PRODUCTS with the Aquaflow permeable paving license. This is a first for South Africa and if the success of the European market is anything to go by this IS the future of paving in our country.
All of these innovative ideas have been recognised by the industry and it is no wonder that Deon has secured many prestigious awards. In 2004 he won the Premier Award from the Concrete Masonry Association for Stock Road Interchange with ARG Architects, Baseline Civils and Highland Paving. The project was unique as the bus lanes as well as the bus parking area were paved in different colours with the edging pavers being half of one colour and half the other. This was done to minimize the cuttings on the job and to minimize the customers spend. In 2006 he also won the National Award for Vintage Pavers for Kirstenbosch Gardens.

After matriculating in 1979, Errol joined a retail company Western Province Hardware a forerunner of the FT Trade Depot's and very soon established himself becoming a Branch manager at the age of 21. He furthered his retail experience and was promoted to establishment manager, opening new stores across the Western Cape. However the family construction business was in need of such expertise and this is where he did his "apprenticeship". Errol, never one to sit still for long began studying Management and Development part time at the University Of Stellenbosch Business School and has used this knowledge extensively in his career.
In 1988 Errol joined Corobrik. With his experience in distribution, he set up and managed the company's first distribution division to merchants such as Penny Pinchers, Builders Warehouse and Federated Timbers to mention a few. In 1992 he moved to the technical division of Corobrik and continued to introduce and implement new and innovative systems to the company.
It was in 1996 when Errol joined Inca for the first time where he was appointed as manager of the Sales Division. His many sales and marketing courses over the years certainly paid off, and in his first year at Inca he achieved an all time record turnover. He was also involved in the design of innovating new masonry products.
Errol joined Apollo Bricks which is one the largest producers of clay stock bricks in the Western Cape as their Sales Manager The company sales doubled within the 4 year period that he was there. He was involved in Marketing, Sales and Transportation as well the management of sales and despatch staff at the three factories in the Western Cape.
However as trends began to change - he realised "Concrete" was gaining in popularity over clay and he wanted to be part of this exciting movement in the industry. He moved back to Inca Concrete Products at the beginning of 2008 and now heads up the Masonry Division at INCA. Errol hopes to build his department and product lines to be "market leaders" in the construction industry, and also to be part of the ongoing success of Inca Concrete Products.
